Deepika Soreng and Mumtaz Khan scored a support each as the Indian ladies' hockey group managed with a tight 5-4 success over Poland in its initial Pool C match of the FIH Hockey5s Ladies' Reality Cup here on Wednesday.

Mumtaz (fourth, 23th minutes) and Deepika (sixth, 29th) struck two times, while Mariana Kujur (23rd) was the other objective scorer for India.

Poland's objectives were scored by Julia Kucharska (eighth), commander Marlena Rybacha (tenth), Paula Slawinska (27th) and Monika Polewczak (29th).

The Indians rushed to get off the blocks as they started to lead the pack in the fourth moment through Mumtaz's field objective.

After two minutes, Deepika multiplied India's lead with another field strike.

Poland struck back minutes after the fact through Kucharska and captain Rybacha's field objectives to even out the scores at 2-2 with five minutes left in the primary half.
