Shami out of IPL, to have lower leg medical procedure

Senior pacer Mohammed Shami has been managed out of the following month's Indian Chief Association (IPL) attributable to a left lower leg injury, for which he will go through a medical procedure in the UK.

The 33-year-old, who isn't important for the continuous Test series against Britain, last played for India in the ODI World Cup last against Australia in November.

"Shami was in London in last seven day stretch of January to take exceptional lower leg infusions and he was informed that following three weeks, he can begin light running and take it from consequently. However, the infusion hasn't worked and presently the main choice left is a medical procedure. He will without further ado leave for a medical procedure. IPL appears to be out of inquiry," a senior BCCI source said.

It is exceptionally impossible that the pacer would have the option to get back into the game before India's Test matches at home against Bangladesh and New Zealand (October-November). His objective could be the away marquee series against Australia.
