The meeting to break the deadlock over the RG Kar will start at five o'clock.

In an attempt to break the standoff over RG Kar, the West Bengal administration on Monday extended an invitation to protesting junior physicians to gather at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's home in this city at 5:00 p.m.

Manoj Pant, the chief secretary, announced via email that the meeting had been extended an invitation to the junior doctors.

In the meantime, disgruntled junior physicians stopped working on the eighth day of their sit-in outside the health department's headquarters, Swasthya Bhawan.
