Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference (NC), declared on Saturday that his party will not create a post-election alliance with the BJP in order to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir.

We are unable to support the BJP. This is a vote against the BJP that we currently have. "Do you think we will go with them, considering the problems they placed the Muslims in, demolishing their homes, businesses, mosques, and schools?" he inquired.

He stated that neither a single Muslim minister served in the Union Cabinet, nor has the BJP granted a mandate to any Muslim candidates in the legislative elections.

"Our people, in my opinion, will not support the BJP. He declared, "They live in a cuckoo's world if they (the BJP) think they would form the government."

On Friday, the NC declared that it was only communicating with members of the INDIA bloc in regards to the establishment of a government in J&K.

In a case involving terror, the NIA searches J-K and four other states.

The party issued an explanation in response to rumors that it was doing secret talks with the BJP.

When asked if the bail-out Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid had any influence over the Assembly election, Abdullah replied that he did not perceive any. "Whoever supports them (BJP), he will be eliminated," declared the former Union minister.

Rashid has been called an agent and proxy of the BJP by both the PDP and the NC.

When asked if he had any expectations for the exit polls that will take place later that day, Abdullah responded that he had never trusted them. "In the boxes are the votes. On October 8, we shall find out exactly what is in and what is out. Let us wait until October 8 to find out who has the majority and who doesn't. Abdullah declared, "I do not think exit surveys are real.

The NC president added that the choice of the chief-ministerial candidate would be made following the announcement of the results.

"We are acting prematurely. He stated, "Let us first check the results, then they can sit down and choose the CM.

"Even with absolute majority, you have no control over who will do what or what will occur. We will know where everyone stands once all the boxes are opened and the votes are tallied, therefore I am going to wait," he continued.
