Chief of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Ravinder Raina, declared on Monday that his party will win 35 seats and become the only major party in the region. He also stated that his party will establish government with the support of independent and like-minded candidates.
Additionally, he stated that the Lieutenant Governor is nominating five MLAs in accordance with the Reorganization Act.
"With the help of independents and like-minded parties, who will gain about 15 seats, we will cross the majority threshold of 50 to form the government," Raina told reporters in this location. "We are certain of winning 35 seats in Jammu and Kashmir."
"The people have supported our vision for peace and development by voting for us," he declared.
"The huge popular support for our party, demonstrated by the large crowds at rallies by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah plainly indicates that people have voted for the BJP," he said, adding that the BJP is expected to perform exceedingly well.
Kharge believes the Congress would win in J&K and Haryana.
He predicted that the BJP would emerge victorious in these elections, handily defeating the Congress and becoming the only major party.
He addressed the question of party alliances, stating that the BJP "had no affiliation with Engineer Rasheed's party, but we have backed 15 independent and like-minded candidates." They will win—Independents and others with similar goals. Our party is going to be the most voted in Jammu and Kashmir."
Senior BJP leaders Tarun Chugh and Ram Madhav are present at a critical meeting being held at the party headquarters ahead of the vote counting.
He stated, "The reorganization Act has already been passed by Parliament," in reference to the nomination of five MLAs to the J&K Assembly. This will be handled appropriately going forward. The LG will carry it out as part of the constitutional procedure."
He responded, "Whatever LG is doing is in compliance with the law," when questioned whether the nomination process should have been left up to the next government to determine. The Reorganization Act is followed in doing this.
Tuesday is the day for the 90-member Jammu and Kashmir Assembly's vote counting.
