Global leaders and business executives from the maritime and aerospace industries are attending the five-day event, which was opened by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim.
Sanjay Seth opened the India Pavilion at the exhibition, showcasing the developing capabilities of the country's own defense sector. Important Defense Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and commercial businesses are represented in the pavilion.
The pavilion features cutting-edge technologies like the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and the Dornier aircraft made by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, demonstrating India's growing independence in the defense sector. India's growing significance in the realm of domestic defense production and research is reflected in its carefully calibrated participation among international defense leaders.
Raksha Rajya Mantri visited the LIMA 2025 location and looked around a number of the display booths. He engaged with top officials and dignitaries from a number of participating nations, sharing opinions and restating India's dedication to global cooperation in aerospace and defense.
In keeping with India's defense outreach objectives, his sessions centered on fortifying current relationships and investigating fresh opportunities for strategic collaboration.
With growing defense and security cooperation, India and Malaysia have a solid and developing bilateral partnership. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was formally created during the 2024 visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to India, has further reinforced the partnership.
The alliance is still growing in a number of critical areas, such as defense production, aerospace, and maritime cooperation.
