As part of New Delhi's international diplomatic outreach, an all-party Indian team traveled to Bahrain on Saturday to emphasize its steadfast opposition to cross-border terrorism.
Ambassador Vinod K. Jacob met the team at the airport, which was headed by prominent BJP leader Baijayant Jay Panda.
"The All-Party Delegation reached Bahrain under the leadership of H E @PandaJay, a member of parliament. The Indian Embassy in Bahrain wrote on X that "all the interactions will underline India's steadfast stand against cross-border terrorism."
The mission is one of seven multi-party delegations sent by India to 33 major cities throughout the world to inform the world about Pakistan's plans and India's counterterrorism measures.
After 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam incident, tensions between India and Pakistan increased.
Pakistan attempted to attack Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10 after India launched precise strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of May 7. The acts of Pakistan were met with a fierce response by the Indian side.
After discussions between the directors general of military operations of both sides on May 10, the on-ground hostilities came to an end with an agreement to cease the military actions.
