July 8, 2025: Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has once again drawn attention to controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein at a time when Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI has closed probe into the case.
Musk recently shared an image with the caption, "What's the time? ", titled the "Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter" and featuring only zeros in it. Oh, look, nobody has been arrested yet again." The post reflects the public's growing dissatisfaction with the limited accountability for others who might have been involved and the lack of high-profile arrests following Epstein's death. Musk’s remarks resurfaced an earlier claim he made in June, where he stated: “Trump is in the Epstein files.”
Musk’s post coincides with the release of a newly surfaced memo from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI, obtained by Axios.
According to the memo, Epstein committed suicide in 2019 and that no evidence of a blackmail "client list" connected to his trafficking operations was discovered by investigators. Earlier claims by figures such as former Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested such a list did exist. In addition, the DOJ report confirmed that no additional charges would be brought against any individuals in connection with the case. Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former associate, continues to serve a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking and related crimes.
