Aug 11, 2025: An official stated on Monday that two police officers were killed in an accident on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on August 11.

According to the official, three sub-inspectors traveling from Srinagar to Jammu following their Amarnath Yatra duties were involved in an accident at Tengan in the Lasjan area of the city.

Two of the injured police officers were declared dead after being rushed to a hospital. He stated that Sachin Verma and Shubham have been identified as the deceased, and Mastan Singh has been identified as the injured officer.
