Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs and former president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Anurag Thakur on Wednesday visited the upgraded Maulana Azad (MA) Stadium here.
J&K Sports Council secretary Naseem Javed Choudhary along with other staff and representatives of the J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) were present at the stadium. They briefed Anurag about the ongoing work at the best stadium.
The former BCCI president was also informed about the MoU between the autonomous sports body of J&K and the BCCI. Request was also made to hold international and IPL matches there in the future.
