Members of the All Zanskar Student Association on Thursday held a demonstration, holding the BJP responsible for neglecting the region. They also sought district status for Zanskar.

Addressing a gathering here on Thursday, association president Lobzang Spaldan said during the parliamentary elections of 2019, the people of Zanskar had unitedly voted for the BJP in a hope that the Central government would address their problems.

“It is unfortunate that after the party’s victory in the region, no concern is shown towards public problems,” Spaldan added.
