Facing increasing international isolation, China on Monday accused the United States of whipping up panic over a fast-spreading coronavirus with travel restrictions and evacuation of diplomats and said there was no “substantial help” from Washington to contain the virus that has killed 361 persons and infected 17,205 others in the country.

Washington has “unceasingly manufactured and spread panic”, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters, noting that the WHO had advised against trade and travel curbs.
