The five days training programme of ASHA Workers on Home Based New Born Care (HBNC) ASHA
Module 6th & 7th held at Health Block Ghat in Doda District concluded here today on Thursday.
The training programme was organized by Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr Ghansham Singh under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Wajid Ali Najar.
During the five days training programme, 30 ASHAs from Block Ghat of Batch 2nd were imparted training for proper care of new born and maternal care. The training covered several precautionary measures to be taken by the ASHAs and other workers to save the new born and mothers. The communication and capacity building skills of ASHA and ASHA Facilitators have also been enhanced during the training.
The training programme was imparted by State ASHA Trainer Johnson Chandail, District Resource Person (DRP) Riaz Iqal Malik, Block ASHA Coordinator Riaz Ahmed Wani, Block ASHA Coordinator Smt Nirmala Devi besides ASHA Facilitators Bimla Devi, Shabnam Begum and Zubaida Begum under the supervision of National Trainer Dr Sadiq Khan who personally monitor the training programme.
On the concluding day, the valedictory function was held at Block Ghat which was chaired by National Trainer Dr Sadiq Khan who congratulated the trainers and trainees for successful completion of the five days training programme and stressed upon all the ASHAs and ASHA Facilitator to work with zeal and dedication and bring revolutionary changes at the gross root level in the health set up especially at the village level.
At the end of the training programme, Block Monitoring and Evaluation Officer NHM Block Ghat Mashood Latief presented formal vote of thanks and expressed his sincere thanks to National Trainer Dr Sadiq Khan for his personal visit to Block Ghat for monitoring the training programme which ended successfully.
