Army today said it organized 10-day capacity building tour for students of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A defence spokesman said that twenty students from remote Karnah valley of Kupwara have set out on a ten days capacity building tour from Tangdhar to Delhi and Jalandhar.
“Aimed at introducing the young minds to the nation’s rich heritage, vast cultural diversity, secular ideals, resilient economic resurgence and plethora of opportunities for professional and personal growth, the tour entails visits to various historical, educational, cultural and industrial hubs,” he said.
The tour was flagged off by Commander of Thunderbolt Brigade and District Social Welfare Officer Mumtaz from Drugmulla. Speaking to the children, Mumtaz exhorted them to make full use of the opportunity being provided by the Army and motivated them to share the experiences with their peers.
