Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief Western Air Command visits Jammu

Air Marshal C Hari Kumar, Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Western Air Command (WAC) was on a one day visit to Air Force Station Jammu . He was accompanied by Mrs Devika Hari Kumar, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), Western Air Command. On arrival the Air Marshal was received by Air Commodore SK Mishra, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jammu, alongwith all the other senior officers of the station.

During the visit, the Air Marshal interacted with the Officers, Air Warriors, DSC Personnel and the civilian staff of the station and visited various units, sections of the station. He expressed satisfaction at the Operational, Maintenance and Administrative aspects of functioning of the station and appreciated the professionalism of the personnel and exhorted them to constantly strive to achieve even higher standards in all spheres of activity in service of the Nation. During the interaction with Air warriors of the station, he brought out the existing security scenario in the region and need to maintain continued vigil. He also visited the troops and Field Commanders of units deployed at forward areas appreciating their high morale and operational readiness. As part of his visit, the Air Marshal also inaugurated “State of The Art” Gymnasium.

Mrs Devika Hari Kumar visited all the projects and institutions of Air Force Wives Welfare Association and expressed great satisfaction at the way all ventures were being operated and maintained. She also visited the Air Force School and was very happy with the quality of education being imparted. She also interacted with the ladies of Air Force Station, Jammu during her visit.
