Remarkable statement passed on by former Chief Minister and National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah on asking for help from the fellow nations to resolve the issue of Kashmir. He mentioned that it is high time to resolve the current scenario of the valley. According to him Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his NDA Government are the solely responsible entities for flaming Kashmir. They have pushed the valley into a dark hole which needs to be taken out at any cost. India has tons of amenities like expensive fighter planes etc. to fight which instead should be utilized in making a poor farmer prosperous. He burst out and said that for how long should we wait, and waste our resources in fighting. India should take aid from its friends in order to resolve the problem. Taking help doesn’t mean to hand over the Govt to them but to just simple things. China and Donald Trump are eager to help us but indeed we didn’t ask for any favors from our end. It has been 70 years and India has not spoken, till then 4 wars have taken place.
Whereas Rahul Gandhi, whose Congress party is an ally of National Conference, was not supporting Dr. Abdullah, he said that this is an internal matter of India. Many other politician and ministers were conflicting with Dr. Farooq’s statement.
Union Minister of State in the PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, replied to the statement that the country’s situation on the current issue is clear and we should ignore such dialogues. Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home refused to give weight to Dr.Farooq’s saying.
On the other hand, his son former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted supporting his father.
“BJP’s ally PDP has welcomed Dr. Abdullah’s statement. I guess that makes the BJP-PDP anti-national as well”.
Should the Govt of India listen to Dr.Abdullah words once or should just ignore the saying. Will people keep on suffering or will they be able to get some relief?
