Local MLA and Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today said that people of all religions and regions of J&K have reposed their trust in the policies of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing several public rallies in Teryath, Songhai, and Daggal Halal during a tour of his constituency, he threw light on various development schemes launched by Modi Government at Centre and PDP-BJP Coalition Government in the State.
During his tour’s last leg in Daggal Halal (the remotest area), the Minister announced blacktopping of Metka-Daggal Halal road over 25-kilometer stretch and also assured to construct a new road that will connect the area with Kotranka block. The Minister, who was accompanied by district heads of various departments, directed them to chalk out plans to meet the expectations of public living in remotest areas.
Lambasting for former MLA, Rashpal Singh for ignoring remotest areas and adopting a pick and choose a policy, he said that people from different religions have reposed their faith on BJP and they will leave no stone unturned to meet demands of the public. The MLA also issued Rs 1.5 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for construction of cremation ground at Bandari in Metka.
Meanwhile, several dozen prominent workers and leaders mostly Muslims from remotest areas of Kalakote constituency, joined the BJP in the presence of the Minister.
