Hotel Ramada City Centre inaugurated

Hotel Ramada City Centre, the first five-star hotel in the city of Jammu, was formally inaugurated in a glittering ceremony here today.
Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister for Industries and Commerce graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
Hotel Ramada is an affiliate of the US based Wyndham Group of five-star hotels with more than 8000 of its branches all over the world and its Ramada Jammu branch has turned into a significant icon of modernity in this ancient city known worldwide as ‘The City of Temples’.
In his welcome address at the ceremony, Chairman of KC Group Raju Chowdhary dwelt on the history of the Group dating back to the 4th decade of the previous century as one of the largest timber industries in north India which later diversified into a wide range of enterprises including manufacturing, automobile dealerships, entertainment and private sector education. He added that Hotel Ramada City Centre was the culmination of a dream of the Group to provide the city of Jammu with a five-star hotel and thereby adding a jewel to the crown of tourism and hospitality sector in the State of J&K known for its world-famous destinations of spirituality and scenic beauty. He paid rich tribute to his father Sudarshan Mahajan who was a man of vision, tenacity and progressive mindset.
“KC Group brings the City of Jammu on the world map with its unique ambience of being an art hotel showcasing within its premises the ancient art traditions of Jammu and Kashmir such as Basohli school of miniature painting and the scenic beauty of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh”, Minister Chander Prakash Ganga said.
