Yesterday a tragic incident happened in the South Kashmir district of Anantnag, where an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Abdul Rashid Peer, was shot dead by militants in Mehandi Kadal, Anantnag. This is not the first time that these incidents have been seen but this is a regular affair in the valley where millions of Policemen are died battling with these brutal militants. They are the stigma on our society and nation. In such situations, our brave soldiers come forward to eliminate such entities from the nation to safeguard the lives of people. Whereas we as civilians are unaware of the fact that how much struggle and patience goes in handling such high tensions.
After such encounters what actually happens to the lives of this innocent and brave policeman, though the families get a hefty monetary homage, is that enough to survive in the world. Money can’t buy you happiness and togetherness of your loved ones; it can only buy you daily necessities of life. The policeman’s little daughter wept so badly that no one can even imagine what she is going through. Losing parents or Guardian at an early age leads to a very tough and rigorous life which needs to be managed by the person himself.
Innumerable people die every year due to heart attacks, accidents, suicides etc. but dying as a Martyr is itself a proud moment for the nation and for the family members. So, yes it is heart breaking for the martyr’s family but the person who died left his name behind inscribed in golden letters. We should also do something great in life so that when we leave this world people will remember us for great works.
