Youth nowadays are surrounded by the world of the internet; some to gain knowledge, some to make new friends, shopping, trading, gaming etc. but sometimes the virtual world can put a person in grueling situations. The most trending man-eater game is the Blue Whale game which covers various tasks that need to be completed in 50 days and it encourages the player to commit suicide as it is the last level of the game. Many players across the world have lost by playing this game.
The Blue Whale game was developed by Philipp Budeikin who was a psychology student, he created this game so that he could cleanse the society by encouraging the people to commit suicide who have no value. Philipp was even expelled from the university after creating the game. The first blue whale suicide was committed in 2015, which is slowly and gradually growing every year and even reached India.
Countries like Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Colombia, Georgia, Italy, Kenya, Paraguay, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Spain, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela and now India have experienced plenty of suicides due to this game. In India, a 16-year-old boy from Kerala in Southern India committed suicide on 26 July 2017, 30 July 2017, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor in Mumbai. On 10 August 2017, a Class VII student in the city of Indore committed suicide. On 10 August 2017, a 14-year-old boy on the way to finish the Blue Whale challenge was rescued by the Maharashtra Police, who intercepted the bus in which he was traveling to Pune, from his home town of Solapur. On 12 August 2017, a 10th class student from Anandpur, West Midnapore district of West Bengal allegedly committed suicide. On 16 August 2017, the family of a 22-year-old man in Kerala died by hanging himself.On 27 August 2017, a 13-year-old class VI student in the town of Maudaha, Hamirpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, hung himself, after playing the Blue Whale game.

Parents should keep an eagle eye on their children so that they may not get into troublesome situations. Everything in this world comes with adequate pros and cons. So do the internet brings along with it a package of magical goodies with some thorny bushes which may hurt you sometimes. So be smart enough to make practical and intelligent decisions.
