National Conference (NC) provincial president Devender Singh Rana today said the doors of the party were always open to right-thinking and public-spirited political activists, who want to see Jammu and Kashmir as a peaceful, progressive and developed state.
“Realisation is fast dawning upon progressive, forward-looking and peace-loving political activists to serve the state in the best of their capabilities,” Rana said while welcoming Ghulam Haider and his associates into the party at a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan this afternoon.
Rana said the time had come when all the right-thinking people should assert and isolate those dividing the state on regional and communal lines. He called for isolating such elements and working towards cementing the relations between the various segments of the society.
The NC provincial president hoped that with the joining of energetic young people, the party would be further strengthened.
Those who joined included Lal Din Mir, Sabir Din Parray, Shanawaz Wani, Sajjad Ahmed Parray and Shamas-ud-Din, all from Kishtwar.
