As a part of conscientious effort towards the celebration of International day of Charity, a group of about 25 students of class 10th along with their teachers paid a visit to the Old age Home at Amphalla.
The theme of the programme was ‘Giver is twice blessed than the receiver’. The students firmly believe that our generation looks up to the elderly and hence quality time was spent with them. The experiences were mutually shared in a warm and overwhelming atmosphere.
As a gesture of their lifelong commitment, students and teachers donated generous amount to the old age home for the welfare of its residents. The inmates of the home exhorted the students to care for their parents and to respect their teachers who imbibe in them values and lessons for life. The students promised to respect and care for the elderly and the needy.

This activity was also among a gamut of activities undertaken for ISA under the aegis of British Council, in an endeavour to make students compassionate to the sufferings of the less fortunate.
