Observing that PDP-BJP coalition in J and K has failed to formulate a comprehensive policy to create job avenues for educated unemployed youth of the State, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and senior Congress leader Thakur Balbir Singh on Wednesday regretted that youth were bearing maximum brunt of the anti-people policies being propagated by this regime.
Addressing series of meetings in Billawar Assembly segment to interact with youth, Thakur Balbir Singh said that except promises nothing has been done by the incumbent non-performing government to solve problems of the unemployed educated youth.
He pointed out during the last nearly three years, government has not come out with a policy for the youth.
Thakur Balbir Singh regretted that present regime has failed to bring transparency and accountability in the recruitment process because there are allegations that deserving educated youth are not getting jobs.
He lamented that at the cost of deserving candidates, ministers’ relatives are getting jobs in government departments.
He said that as far as the performance of the present regime was concerned, it appears only on papers and nothing concrete was visible on ground.
“Inability of the PDP-BJP Government to respond to problems could have negative fallout on the situation in the sensitive State”, he said and mentioned that since the formation of this government alienation among masses has been increasing.
