The joint separatist leadership of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik today rejected the statement of NIA that a Kashmiri youth, detained has turned approver in the alleged militancy funding case.

In a statement, they said, “We do not believe these fabricated and concocted stories as it has been a common practice for the last 27 years that our youth are incarcerated and subjected to extreme physical and mental torture, hence doubtful confession statements are attributed to them.”

The separatist leadership while condemning these tactics, said Indian authorities have let loose its secret agencies, n forces and police authorities to assassinate anybody under the garb of AFSPA, detain whosoever they like and put behind the bars for years together and launch defamation campaign against respectable persons, separatist political leaders and businessmen by NIA.

Strongly denouncing NIA raids and implicating leadership against “fabricated charges” the separatist leadership said detaining Shahir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saif Ullah, Raja Meraj-u-Din Kalwal, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Naeem Ahmad Khan, Zahoor Ahmad Watali, Mohammad Aslam Wani, Kamran Yousuf and Javed Ahmed Bhat is sheer political vendetta.

The leadership expressed their strong resentment over summoning Advocate Miyan Abdul Qayoom, Dr Naeem Geelani, Dr. Naseem Geelani, Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Shaukat Ahmad Bakhshi, Zameer Ahmed Sheikh and raids on the residences of senior Hurriyat leaders including Aga Syed Hussan, Ghulam Nabi Sumji and Ad Mohammad Shafi Rishi and termed it political vengeance.

“Their arbitrary actions will not deter us and it will not dampen our resolve .Detention of two Kupwara youth including Zahoor Ahmad and Nazir Ahmad is outcome of a deep-rooted conspiracy,” Geelani, Mirwaiz and Malik said.
