DPS Leh dedicates shooting-range to students

Delhi Public School (DPS) Leh on Wednesday dedicated the International-level Shooting-Range for the sake of students here in Leh.
Executive Councillor Sheep and Animal Husbandry, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Mumtaz Hussain was the Chief Guest and Vishwamitra Anand Commandant 16th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police was the Guest of Honour besides Pro-Vice Chairperson DPS Leh T.P Singh staff and students of DPS Leh were also present. The Chief Guest along with Guest of Honour in presence of T.P. Singh, staff and students declared open the Shooting-Range for the students. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the school management for this step for students. Later, a cultural programme consisting of patriotic songs, dances depicting the culture of Ladakh was performed by the students.
The Chief Guest advised the students to take benefits from sports and extra-curricular activities so as to develop their body and brain.
Commandant ITBP assured every possible help to the students for developmental purposes. Moreover, he was also impressed by the quality of education and activities taking place in the institute.
T.P Singh told the gathering that DPS students are excelling at district and State level in sports, literary meet and in other activities thus bringing name and fame for the school. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Swati Kler.
