All J and K Retired Police Personnel Forum held a protest on Thursday at Exhibition Ground near Press Club here to press the government to fulfill their genuine demands.
A large number of retired police personnel under the leadership Ajit Singh gathered and raised slogans against the government for ignoring them.
Ajeet Singh condemned the Government Order No. 229-F of 2014 of October 17, 2014 and alleged that government has played a joke with the retired police men.
Ajit lamented that no relief has been provided to the retired police personnel, who were fighting their case since 1996.
He urged the government to redress the demands on priority basis for the benefit of the retired police personnel.
Alleging discrimination with J and K retired police pensioners in pay anomaly, Ajit Singh said various pay anomaly committees have been formed and they have given their opinions and approvals from time to time but nothing has been done in favour of retired police pensioners.
He appealed to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to release the amount in favour of retired ASIs.
