J and K Private Schools Association (PSA), Jammu, criticized the discriminatory attitude of Director School Education, Jammu, for demanding more formalities in approving management committees and granting recognition up to schools upto Class 8th in Jammu division.
In this connection, a meeting of all District Presidents was organised under the chairmanship of Prof J.L Kotwal, Chairman J and K PSA Jammu here on Monday.
General Secretary of the Association, Ajay Gupta said that the JKBOSE is demanding more formalities like NoC from Traffic Police Department, deployment of security personal for boarding and de-boarding of the students in addition to present 32 formalities from the already affiliated schools for their extension in affiliation / recognition.
The association members flayed the discriminatory attitude of Director School Education, Jammu, in approving management committees and granting recognition up to Class 8th in Jammu division although DSE Srinagar has granted recognition to 130 schools upto Class 8th, upgraded 51 schools and granted approval to the management committees of 150 schools in a single stint vide order no 736 dated June 30, 2017.
The members also resented against the non-involvement of representatives of Private Schools Association from Jammu division while making new rules for the schools whose spot financial and educational difficulties are known to the leaders only.
President of the Association, Kamal Gupta criticised the discouraging and non-professional attitude of the government.
With general consensus, Gupta informed that the association has decided to hold protests against the atrocities of the government towards the private schools by biding black badges and flags on October 12, 2017 followed by the press conferences.
Among those who were present in the meeting include Rameshwar Mengi Vice President, Sat Paul Mansotra from Kathua, Zafaruddin form Rajouri, Krishan Singh from Samba, Ajay Singh from Reasi, Ram Parkash from Udhampur, Sanjeev Luthra, Vishwa Mohan Sharma, Jatinder Heera, Laddi Kumar, Gansara Singh, Siddeshwar Sadotra, Chain Singh, Rajeev Salathia, Vivek Chouhan, Rajinder Singh, Rajeev Singh, Sanjeevn Singh and Raj Dev Singh.
