JKAACL organizes Punjabi Kahani Goshthi

ammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, in collaboration with Guru Gobind Singh Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani, organized Punjabi Kahani Goshthi here today at GGSHSS, Kunjwani.
Khalid Hussain, eminent Punjabi and Urdu short story writer, presided over the function while Prof Harbans Singh, Chairman, GGSHSS, Kunjwani and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL were also present in the presidium.
While delivering his presidential address, Khalid Hussain complimented JKAACL and GGSHSS Kunjwani for organizing this Kahani Goshthi at School for the students and said that through this the youth of the day can be motivated to boost their inner ability of creative writing. While stressing on the need and importance of mother tongue, he further emphasis that we may learn all the languages and latest education techniques to compete the international competitions but mother tongue should also be spoken at home with family and this can be made possible with the active efforts of mother folk of the respective languages.
Earlier, while welcoming the guests and the gathering, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn highlighted the future activities of the JKAACL and said that collaborating the educational institutions and providing the students the platform to share their creative writings with the established writers of the languages of the region will encourage them towards the literature.
The short stories were presented by Amanpreet Kaur (Jeb Katre), Harsimran Singh (Mauj), Jang S Varman (Mas Da Tukra), Dr Baljit Raina (Seep) and Khalid Hussain (Vele Di Bahar and Shardallu)
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Baljit Raina and the vote of thanks was presented by Prof Harbans Singh, Chairman, Guru Gobind Singh Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani.
Among others, who were present include: Dr Monojit, Amar Singh Kuka, Pritam Singh Anjan, Rahi Simbalpuria, Gurmeet Singh, students, staff and management of school.
