PDP-BJP Govt failed on all fronts: Bhalla

The PDP-BJP bonhomie has completed nearly three years but the people of the State including Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions have been betrayed in every aspect. The promises made to the people like-return of power projects, eradication of the unemployment, development and especially providing the basic facilities have proven hoax on ground. I feel no hesitation to say that the government has failed on the ground as the sufferings of the common people still continue.
This was stated by former Minister and senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla while addressing Congress workers at Mahakali Nagar, Gadigarh in Gandhi Nagar Constituency here on Sunday.
Bhalla alleged that PDP-BJP Government has failed to take off even after 1,095 days and the people of the State are suffering due to non-delivery of services. He said that there seems to be no government on the ground.
Reacting over IED blast which claimed the lives of four policemen, Bhalla said that the BJP Government has singularly failed to protect the country’s security personnel. He said that not a day goes without attacks on army, paramilitary and policemen and all that the government has to offer are boastful statements and tall claims.
“Accountability has to be established as to why the government has failed despite the boastful statements of the Prime Minister and of his ministers about action across the border,” Bhalla said.
Expressing grave concern over the unabated killings, he said the BJP-led NDA Government had miserably failed to deal with the situation on the LoC.
Reminding BJP leaders of their speeches before 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Bhalla recalled that the BJP leaders used to taunt the then government over one incident of mutilation of a soldier’s body. He said the mutilation of bodies of soldiers had become a routine affair after the formation of the BJP government at the Centre despite the fact that BJP leaders claimed themselves to be only the “desh Bhakts” in the country.
Bhalla said Congress alone can ensure equitable development of all three regions with special attention towards the neglected, remote and backward areas of the State.
The programme was organised by Prithpal Singh.
Former Sarpanch Aaya Singh, Block President Amrit Bali, Dr Dawarka Nath Raina, Nobat Singh, Chela Ram, Charandeep Singh, Pammy Sharma, Gurmeet Kour and Anita Sharma were also present.
