Yashpaul to get Bal Sahitya Samman

A well known Dogri and Hindi writer, Yashpaul Nirmal is being conferred Bal Sahitya Samman 2018 by the Guganram Educational and Social Welfare Society (Regd.) Bhiwani, Haryana for his manuscript of children novel ‘Chhuttian’ in Dogri Language. The award function will be held at Bhiwani, Haryana on February 24, 2018.
Total nine authors of children literature from all over India will be awarded in this function which include Vishal K.C.J (Shilang), Dinesh Dinar (Sonipat), Jaya Srivastav Jai Mohan (Allahabad), Dr Sudha Sharma Pushp (Delhi), Raj Kumar Jain ‘Rajan’ (Rajasthan), Kirti Srivastav (Bhopal, MP), Suramya Sharma (Delhi), Raj Khyalia (Rohtak, Haryana) and Yashpaul Nirmal (Jammu – Kashmir).
Yashpaul Nirmal has been awarded by the various social, cultural and literary organizations time to time for his literary contributions. Born on June 20, 1978, in a border Village Ghari Bishna (Tehsil Akhnoor), he has more than thirty books published in different languages to his credit.
Last year he was awarded with the Rashtriya Anuvad Sahitya Gourav Samman 2017 by the Nirmala Smriti Sahityak Samiti and Rashtriya Anuvad Parishad collectively for his Book Ghari (Hindi translation of Dogri Poetry written by Mohan Singh).
