DSS bats for preserving Dogra legacy, culture

Former minister and President Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS), Gulchain Singh Charak on Friday made a fervent appeal to Dogras for promoting Dogriyat and preserving old values of peaceful co-existence.
Addressing a press conference, Charak apprised the State Government about the disgust felt by Dogras over the callous attitude towards restoration work of the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and the annoyance over barricading of the road in front of winter secretariat.
Charak also criticised the government and conveyed the anguish over the heinous crime committed by the culprits involved in the case of Kathua minor girl.
He also expressed concern over alarming proportions of availability and usage of drugs in the society.
Charak along with the executive body released the DSS Logo featuring the rising sun depicting hope, progress, enlightenment, warmth and positive development.
DSS executive body also complimented daughter of the soil Ganiv Kaur, daughter of Col Harjender Singh, who topped the selection list of the Army’s Judge Advocate General Branch (JAG) bringing honour to all.
Prem Sagar Gupta, Col Karan Singh Jamwal, G.A Khawaja, Brig M.S. Jamwal Incharge Media Cell, Col Virendra K Sahi VrC Convener Media Cell, Syed Amanat Ali Shah, Karan Singh President Kathua, Dharam Chand President Ramban and Santosh Mangotra were also present in the press conference.
