Sunjwan terror attack widely condemned

Various social and political organizations on Sunday condemned that Sunjwan terror attack by holding protest rallies and meeting at several places in Jammu city.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Army Camp Sunjwan and said that the involvement of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas cannot be ruled out.
State President Leela Karan Sharma expressed great anguish and grief on this attack.
Earlier a meeting of VHP was held in which Party’s Central Mantri Khem Chander was Special Guest and it was resolved that the attack on this camp could not be possible without the involvement of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas who are illegally living in Bathindi area. They said that plots in vacant land are being sold in this area with prominently written on the board ‘plot for sale to Muslim only’. The VHP urged the JDA to take prompt notice of the conspiracy to change the demography of the area.
Leela Karan also condemned the slogans raised in the State Assembly by former Minister and MLA Akbar Lone as ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and demanded his Legislative membership be revoked besides taking legal action for raising anti-national slogans.
Among those present included Suresh Chander, Shakti Datt Sharma, Prabhu Dayal Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Revti Raman, Susheela Amrol, Abhishek Gupta, Sanjay Manhas and Naveen Sudan.
State unit of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray staged protest against the Sunjwan Military Camp seeking stern action against Pakistan.
Led by Dimpy Kohli, State President Shiv Sena, the activists assembled at Karan Market, Indra Chowk and burned the Pakistan Flag.
Talking to reporters, Kohli said that the repeated terrorist attacks on Nagrota, Pathankot, Samba and now in Sunjwan Army Camp clearly indicates that Pakistan is not going to mend its ways. The solution against Pakistan is simply a full-fledged war.
In a short span of last three years, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire more than 1,900 times in which more than 110 soldiers and 80 civilians have lost their lives, he said, adding that Modi Government at the Centre is not taking these things seriously and our brave soldiers are dying every day.
Kohli said Sunjwan terrorist attack clearly shows that ‘Operation All Out’ has totally failed to curb terrorism activities and terrorists are still showing their presence after repeated intervals. He said that now this is high time for Prime Minister Narendra Modi government to introspect and take necessary steps to curb terrorism activities.
Rajan Gupta Senior Vice President, Ramesh Gupta Vice President, Raj Singh Secretary, Vikas Patel Secretary, Sanjeev Sudan President RS Pura, Raju Salaria, Pawan Singh, Kuldeep Singh, H.K Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Ashu Singh and Vicky Manhas also joined the protest.
Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade, in a meeting held here, strongly condemned the barbaric act of terrorists who attacked, the family quarters in Sunjwan Army Camp.
Addressing the meeting of DBPS activists, President of the Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma said that the attack was the handiwork of anti-national social elements to disturbed the peace in Jammu region. India should give befitting reply to enemy across the border said Sharma and termed this incident coupled with border firing as unfortunate.
Among those who were also present in the meeting include V.M Magotra, Satyananad Sharma, Advocate P.C Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Subash Shastri, Nanak Chand Sharma, M.L Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, Sri Kerni, Romesh Sharma, Gurdass Sharma, Surrinder Sharma, Jia Lal Sharma, K.L Sharma, Sat Paul Sharma, Raman Sharma and Shanti Saroop Baru.
National Conference State Vice President, Rattan Lal Gupta has condemned the terror attack on Sunjwan Army Camp in Jammu, describing it barbaric and inhuman.
In a statement issued here, Gupta expressed solidarity with the bereaved families who lost their dear ones in the attack and conveyed condolences to them. He prayed for peace to departed souls and immediate recovery to those injured in the attack.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) strongly condemned the terrorists attack on the family quarters in Sunjawan Military Camp killing sleeping unarmed servicemen and even targeting minor children.
In the meeting held here, President DSS, Th Gulchain Singh Charak demanded that a strict investigation as to how the terrorists could make their way to the Sunjawan area after dodging all the Nakas, police check points and patrols were reportedly termed as “only a suspicious movement” by a senior police officer.
“This is a major security lapse and must be probed to fix responsibility and bring those guilty of dereliction of duty to books”, said Col Dr Virendra K Sahi, VrC. The members also called upon the civil society to be vigilant and aware and not to fall prey to any design that can disturb the mutual faith, trust and understanding of co-existence above all political, communal or regional disturbances.
The gathering moved to Shahidi Chowk, Kathua and raised slogans against the MLA Akbar Loan for raising pro-Pakistan slogans yesterday in the Legislative Assembly. Later they also burned the effigies of the MLA Akbar Lone of NC and Pakistan.
President DSS denounced the anti-national stance of the MLA and called it a matter of shame to all other MLAs present in LA who were spectators to this blatant anti-national act by a sitting MLA and former minister who is on oath to the constitution. The outraged people demanded immediate arrest of the MLA and strict action against him under law of the land.
Vice President of DSS Col Karan Singh, Brig M.S Jamwal, Karan Singh Jamwal President DSS Kathua, H.S Jasrotia (Babloo), Harbinder Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Ajay Singh and Th K.S Jasrotia were also present.
Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) expressed deep shock on the killing of army personnel including a civilian in the terrorist attack on Sunjwan Military Camp.
In the meeting held here, Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron NPP expressed a shock on the brutal and inhuman killing of army personnel and the civilian in the peace loving city of Jammu. He urged the President of India, Ramnath Kovind to go for Governor’s Rule in the State of Jammu and Kashmir wherein the State Government has totally failed to protect the lives of the innocent people including women and the army men. He demanded immediate resignation of the Chief Minister and her government whose government stands a failure to protect life of the innocent persons within the capital city of Jammu Tawi.

Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice (MPEJ) condemned the terror attack on Sunjuwan Military Camp.
In a statement issued here, MPEJ members termed the incident as most barbaric and cowardly seeking stern action against Pakistan. “It’s all due to soft and sympathetic approach of successive State as well as Central Governments towards the antinational elements in the State resulting encouragement to Pakistan to cross Indian border and attack on army camps as well killing thousands of innocent civilian over the past so many years,” the statement read.
Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu strongly condemned the terrorist at Sunjwan Military Camp.
The members of the society observed two minutes silence for the departed souls of the martyrs and expressed solace for the bereaved families. The society observed that such an attack is not possible by any outsider without the support and assistance of some local persons.
Balwinder Singh Rinku President, A.S Khera Advocate Chairman cum Legal Advisor, Ajay Mahajan Senior Vice-President, Pawan Sharma Vice-president, Hardeep Singh Vice-president, Sanjeev Talwar General Secretary, Raju Katyal Secretary, Randeep Singh Press Secretary, Maninder Singh Narula Joint Secretary, Harjeet Singh Joint Secretary and Jatinder Kumar Bittu Cashier were also present.
Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) also staged protest against the Fidayeen attack on the Sunjwan military camp. The protest was organised on the directions of state president HSS, Vikrant Kapoor.
Led by State Joint Secretary HSS, Ganesh Singh the activists assembled near Tara Chowk, Bishnah and staged protest against the Pakistan for sponsoring such type of Fidayen attack.
The protestors raised slogans against Pakistan and demanded that the Central Government should take stern action against Pakistan as repeated terrorist attack is an insult to Indian democracy. The HSS leader also criticised the NC MLA, Amar Akbar Lone for raising Pro-Pakistan slogans in the Legislative Assembly.
Yuva Morcha activists of BJP under the leadership of its District President, Sham Lal Mehra staged anti-Pakistan protest at Main Chowk Sunderbani. While raising slogans against Pakistan, the Yuva Morcha activists urged upon the Prime Minster, Narendra Modi to give befitting reply to Pakistan.
State unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) strongly condemned Sunjwan terror attack terming it as most barbaric and cowardly.
In the meeting held here, National Council and Founder Member, AAP, Deep Singh expressed great sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed souls. The meeting criticized the double face politics of National Conference, Congress, BJP and PDP those have different stand in different situations.
