Railway Recruitment Board, RRB applications for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot, ALP and Technicians is about to close. As per the notification, a total of 26, 502 vacancies would be filled by the recruitment exercise under the Centralized Employment Notification or CEN 01/2018. Candidates interested are required to fill online application forms. Please note, the facility to apply for RRB Recruitment 2018 for ALP and Technicians would close on March 5, 2018. Candidates interested are hence requested to fill the online application form at the earliest. Also, important changes since the release of the notification have also been made. Candidates are advised to go through these changes and updates provided here before filling the online application form.

Candidates should note that as per the revisions made by RRB, the upper age limit to apply for RRB Recruitment 2018 for ALP and Technician posts has been revised from 28 years to 30 years for general category. In consequence, the upper age limit for OBC candidates has been revised to 33 years and that for SC/ ST category students has been extended to 35 years. Interested candidates can apply on any of the regional RRB websites. Please note, the options for the region and the posts would be invited after the Ist stage CBT. At present, candidates can fill the online application forms from any of the RRBs.

Interested candidates are advised to go through the detailed notification before filling the online application form. Also, the eligibility of the candidates has also been revised to include Class 10 pass outs, NCTVT certificate holders as well as ITI degrees. The equivalence of the same is available on the official website. Most of these changes, however, correspond to Group D recruitments. Candidates who may fall in the category are advised to go through the details. Please note, apart from these, Aadhaar cards are also mandatory for RRB Recruitments. For the candidates who may not have an Aadhaar card, they would be required to provide an Aadhaar enrolment number. It is hence advisable to start your application process at the earliest.

A total of 26, 502 vacancies would be filled by means of the RRB Recruitment 2018. Out of these, 17, 673 are for Assistant Loco Pilot and 8,829 are for various Technician Posts. Detailed vacancy table across various regional RRBs is also provided here. Apart from the ALP and Technician posts, Indian Railways has also released the notification for 62,907 Group D posts. The last date to apply for Group D posts is March 12.
