Ghordi civil society demands youth orientation centre

A special demand was raised for setting-up a youth orientation-cum-study centre by the civil society of Ghordi, a progressive belt of Udhampur District during a surprise tour of RD, S&LR (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi here yesterday.
At the culmination of review meeting of Revenue Department which was taken by RD, S&LR, Amit Sharma, few prominent citizens and members of the Civil Society of Ghordi led by Vishal Sharma, Vishnu and other team members raised a strong request for setting-up a first-of-its-kind institute of youth orientation centre here for awakening youth and contributing towards building moral fabric of youth in Udhampur district.
The public thanked RD, S&LR for visiting this Ghordi and further demanded that their initiative of youth orientation centre shall be useful in making a strong foundation towards igniting and sowing seeds of positivity in young minds and channelising their energies towards development of the nation.
They also submitted a memorandum to RD, S&LR Amit Sharma for provision of land so that this noble cause could see the light of the day at the earliest which has also support of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa Trust which is running its operations in Ghordi through Swami Vivekananda Club for last so many years. The authorities directed concerned revenue team led by NT Ghordi Ved Parkash to explore the possibilities and submit a proposal for same at the earliest.
Apart from this, the offices and revenue records of Ghordi Niabat were seen by the visiting team led by RD, S&LR and comprising of Naib Tehsildar Karnail Singh, Naib Tehsildar Narinder Kumar, Patwari Ghulam Mohd and Bhagat Singh who complimented Naib Tehsildar Ghordi for exhibiting total professionalism in maintaining revenue records, nil pendency in Mutations, progressive work on writing Jamabandis, etc.
Before leaving, RD, S&LR Amit Sharma directed revenue officers to finish upcoming Rabi Girdawari in a timely manner over next fifty days and following all circulate and standing instructions issued from time to time in this behalf.
