Cultural Academy organises musical programme

Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised a musical programme and a skit in the Auditorium of J&K Scouts and Guides Office, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
On the occasion, I.D Soni, President, J&K Retired Officers’ Forum, Jammu and State Commissioner, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides Jammu; Prem Gupta, V.P Sharma, Jia Lal Gupta, O.P Mahajan and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) were also present. This event is organised in collaboration with J&K Retired Officers’ Forum.
Speaking on the occasion, Soni appreciated the artists and the performers of the Skit ‘Maa Boli’ and said that Jammu region has lot of talent and this is the reason behind producing artists of national and international repute.
While referring theme of the Skit ‘Maa Boli’, he said that the serious concern of the protection and development of mother tongue was very effectively highlighted by the young artists.
While welcoming the distinguished guests, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn said that JKAACL decided to organise this event for the senior citizens and experienced officers of the State Government and it became possible only with the support of J&K Retired Officers’ Forum.
The singers who presented their Gazals include Jeewan Sharma, Subhash Langeh, Neelam Langeh, Vishakha Mahajan while Parshotam Lal (Tabla), Sahil Jasotra (Dholak), Vicky Gill (Synth) and Sandeep Saini (Actopad).
The artists who performed Skit ‘Maa Boli’ include Sunil Sharma, Sourav Verma, Sunaina Kumari, Love Anand, Javed Gill, Rajat Gupta, Kanchi Khajuria, Suman Lata, Arun Singh and Jano. The play was written, designed and directed by Sunil Sharma. S.C Jain also spoke on the occasion while Ramesh Maratha, senior artist, anchor conducted the proceedings of the programme.
