State writers’ camp commences

A five day state writers’ camp was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at Kishatwar. Rehmat Ali Rehmat, eminent writer from Kishtwar presided while Imam-Ud-Din, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar was the Chief Guest. Bashir Bhadarwahi, Aseer Kishtwari, Mohammad Amin Dolwal and Kewal Krishan Sharma senior writers of the region were Guests of Honour. Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was also present in the presidium.
While delivering his presidential address, Rehmat Ali Rehmat appreciated the initiative taken by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for organising the camp here at Kishtwar.
Earlier, while welcoming the distinguished guests and audience, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn said that this time Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages decided to have this State writers Camp here at Kishtwar so that the total attractive and inspiring environment of the beautiful Chenab Valley, Kishtwar will encourage the writers to create an atmosphere of creativity on the whole.
Imam-Ud-din, ADDC, Kishtwar also addressed and appreciated the role of JKAACL for organizing such activities in this district.
Aseer Kishtwari, Bashir Bhaderwahi, Mohammad Amin Dolwal, Kewal Krishan Sharma also spoke on the occasion. Writers who participated include: Bashir Bhadarwahi,Aijaz Mohd. Laloo, Ayoub Sabir, Aseer Kishtwari, Maqbool Ferozi, Gulam Nabi Shahid, Manjeet Singh Kamra, Harbachan Singh Upasak, Maroof Shah, Ashraf Ravi, Mansha Khaki, Sajad Khaqani, Raja Nazar Bonyari, Mehmood Tahir, Bishan Singh Dardi, Rajindra Kumar Ranjha, K.C. Dubey,Kewal Kumar Kewal,Bashir Ahmad Wafa, Farooq Ahmad Noori and Mohd. Ali Khumar.
