Traffic Police sets record by realising over Rs 2.50 lakh fine in a day

Traffic Police City Jammu on Sunday set a record by recovering Rs 2.50 lakh as fine and Challaned more than 1,000 vehicles in a single day.
Traffic Police City Jammu launched a special drive against two wheelers, four wheelers and public service vehicles like mini buses, buses, auto Rikshaw and commercial vehicles by recovering Rs 2.50 lakh as fine and issuing Challans to more than 1000 vehicles in a single day.
About 37 vehicles (mostly four wheelers) were also seized during the drive.
The main focus of drive was wrong stops/frequent stops by mini buses, buses and visible offences on the roads, etc.
The drive was led by Sunny Gupta, DySP (T) City North Jammu, Raj Pal Singh DySP (T) City South Jammu and Bishnah, R.S Pura, Nagrota, Domana, Akhnoor, etc. were led by DySP (T) Dheeraj Katoch under the supervision of SP Traffic City, P.D Sharma and under the overall supervisions of SSP Traffic City Jammu, Joginder Singh.
Moreover, the aforesaid drive was monitored by IGP Traffic (J&K), Basant Rath.
