Rangsutra 2018 concludes at JU’s SHTM

The three day long cultural and heritage fest Rangsutra 2018 concluded today at School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu, here.
Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The function was attended by culinary experts of Culinary Association of India, Chefs from around the country, Professors and Officers of University of Jammu, Principles of various Degree Colleges and schools, NCC cadets from various parts of the country and students of various schools and School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Prof Dhar, in his presidential remarks congratulated the School for consecutively organizing this event which showcases the rich culture of incredible India.
Prof. Dhar said that the travel and tourism industry has been at the forefront of digital innovation and is seen as a leader in e-commerce, but at the same time the trends suggest further changes ahead. He said that besides other industries like health and Medicare, education, media etc travel and tourism is the most benefited industry and University of Jammu can take a lead in this direction.
Earlier Professor Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, SHTM in his welcome address said that the School through student driven activities encourages them to creatively execute various aspects and dimensions of tourism.
Chef Jaswinder Singh, Secretary Events, Culinary Association also spoke on the occasion, while Dr Suvidha Khanna, Organizing Secretary conducted the proceedings of the function. All the winners of various competitive events received certificates during prize distribution function.
Among others present on the occasion were Prof Neetu Andotra, Dean Business Studies, Dr. Dawood Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, Dr Dharmendra Magotra, Joint Registrar, Finance, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, SS to VC.
