India, Pakistan trade fire along LoC in Poonch

The armies of both India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged gunfire and shelling in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

The firing between the armies started early this morning for hours in Gulpur and Khari Karmara areas along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

During the hours of firing, there were no immediate reports of any causality on either side. Earlier, the official claimed of ceasefire from another side which accordingly was retaliated by the Indian army.

A militant was killed in a brief shoot in Chowduri Bagh area of Litter in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

An official said that militants attacked census army patrolling party of 55RR at Chowduri bagh.

He said that army retaliated and triggering a brief shoot in which one unidentified militant was killed.

As per the sources the militant has been identified as Irfan Ahmad of Hizb.
