In his report, Dr. Tewari highlighted the fact that there were 30 participants from ten different states of India. Prof. Nirmohi in his address spoke about the confluence of culture and philosophy of the people who migrated from various parts of India to different parts of the country.
Prof. Jha emphasised the need to develop short-term programs for the first year engineering students to expose them to the vast treasure of traditional Indian wisdom. Most importantly, they should be able to see that various schools of Indian philosophy are different models of understanding human consciousness, which is the most neglected dimension of the technology-centric civilization.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay alerted that the ignorance of any sort is harmful for the holistic growth of personality. Therefore the intellectual traditions of India must be part of the curriculum of professional education.
The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Madhu Mangal Chaturvedi, Assistant Professor, SoPC after the certification distribution and felicitation of the participants.
