All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has condemned encroachments on properties of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu by land mafia. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, President ASKPC, Advocate Ravinder Raina alleged that a displaced KP, Ravi and his sister are being robbed of their legal possession over a piece of land. Reflecting on recent incident in Sheikhpora in Kashmir, President ASKPC said that the claim of the Government for providing security to the PM package employees sounds totally hollow as some people from another minority community with no migrant status, brandished swords and forcibly tried to occupy Sheikhpora accommodation, meant for employees working under PM’s package, rendering symbolic presence of Police ineffective. He appealed to the Governor, S P Malik to take cognizance of both the incidents and direct the concerned authorities to implement the law of the State.
Raina was of the opinion that such incidents, which instill a sense of fear and insecurity among displaced community, should be condemned and all necessary measures must be taken for establishing a safe and secure area in Kashmir for exiled KP community, with a UT status and free flow of Indian constitution, at the earliest.
