JSS Jammu organises inter-house folk music competition

Middle Wing of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu on Friday organised an inter-house folk music competition which was adjudicated by Deepak Kumar (Music Teacher) from Jodhamal Public School, Jammu.
Participants from all the four houses presented their symphony and left the audience spellbound.
Passion House was declared winner by the judge whereas second, third and fourth places were bagged by Optimism House, Wisdom House and Harmony House respectively.
The houses were prepared by Music Department faculty namely Krishan Kumar, Rajni Makroo, Aashish and Gulshan.
Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson of the School asserted that music is something which soothes everybody in every situation.
“Living in India is a blessing for us as we are bestowed with the rich cultural heritage of classical and folk music which binds us to our native land,” she said and added, “Such competitions play a crucial role in promulgating folk music.”
The programme was conducted by Harmony House under the supervision of CCA Co-ordinator, Trishna Sharma.
