J&K BDC decisions saw 98.3% voting, 100% voting in Srinagar

As per the Election Commission, the Block Development Council (BDC) races in Jammu and Kashmir saw an aggregate of 98 percent casting a ballot with penny percent casting a ballot in Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Shailendra Kumar said that the most minimal democratic rate was seen at Pulwama and Shopian at 86 and 85 percent separately.

"According to the report we got till 1 pm, the complete democratic rate was 98.3 percent. Most noteworthy democratic was done in Srinagar dist which saw 100 percent casting a ballot, while the least was in Pulwama and Shopian at 86 and 85 percent separately," said Kumar. He said that checking began at the planned time at 3 pm with the exception of three Blocks of Kupwara region from where reports of shelling came.

Reporting the gathering savvy position, the CEO said that BJP figures are at 81, Congress 1, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party 8, BSP 0, Independents 217 out of all out 307 Blocks that went into decisions. There are a sum of 316 squares races were hung on 307 squares. He further said that out of 137 Blocks in Kashmir division decisions were hung on 128.

The BJP is at 18, Congress 1, Independents 109. "In Ladakh division, all the all-out 31 Blocks went into races and BJP is 11, Independents at 20," said CEO. "In Jammu Division each of the 148 squares went into races, BJP is at 52, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party is at 8, Independent at 88," he said.

The CEO educated that the security organization was like that of the Lok Sabha races. "Is there anyone on record from National Conference or PDP who said that they're boycotting polls?". They had not sent me anything in writing whether they are contesting or boycotting or supporting, I can't answer on their behalf" he said.
