Ayodhya case: Mayawati says duty of Center, state to ensure security of individuals

In front of the decision in the Ayodhya case, BSP supremo Mayawati on Thursday said it was the established and legitimate duty of the Center and State government to ensure the security of individuals and guarantee that their everyday life isn't upset.

The Supreme Court is probably going to convey its decision on the emotive Ayodhya issue before Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi resigns on November 17.

"In the Ayodhya case, the decision is relied upon soon because of which there are uneasiness and legitimate questions in the psyches of individuals. I request all compatriots to regard the court's structure which is in light of a legitimate concern for the nation and individuals," Mayawati said in a tweet in Hindi.

In a different tweet, she stated, "It is the sacred and lawful obligation of the Center and State government to ensure security of individuals, their property, their religion and guarantee their day by day life isn't upset."

A five-judge Constitution seat drove by the CJI had saved its decision in the Ayodhya land debate case on October 16 following a long-distance race 40-day hearing (PTI)
