Abdul Samad, an all-rounder batsman of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and selected for the IPL, has put the team of Jammu and Kashmir in a} very strong position against the host Jharkhand by playing a stormy century against Jharkhand. In response to host Jharkhand's 259 runs, the Jammu and Kashmir team scored a total of 441 runs in the first innings on the third day to take a lead of 182 runs. In response, the Jharkhand team scored 103 runs after losing four wickets in the second innings till the end of the third day's play. Despite this, the Jammu and Kashmir team still has a 79-run lead.

By the end of the third day's play in the second innings, Jharkhand's team has scored 103 runs losing four wickets in 28 overs whereas Jammu and Kashmir still have a 79-run lead. Mohammad Nazim made 37 runs with the help of 5 fours, facing 32 balls. Utkarsh Singh scored 29 runs and Kumar Devvrat scored 14 runs. IR Jaggi scored 11 not out and Virat Singh remained unbeaten after scoring one run.

Abid Mushtaq from Jammu and Kashmir took 2 wickets for 20 runs in 10 overs, whereas Mohammad Dashir and Aqib Nabi also managed to get one wicket each. Saurabh Dhote and Kuppuraj Madangopal Umpire and Valmick N. Butch were the match referees in the match.
