Former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad along with Congress in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir party affairs Ambika Soni will arrive in Jammu on a two-day-long visit from Thursday and will take stock of current political and security scenario in the union territory.
Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Azad, and AICC General Secretary Soni will start a two-day visit to this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, from Jan 16, a party statement said.

"They will interact with senior party functionaries, as well as former Ministers and former Legislators, to take stock of current political and security situation in the state," said the statement.

He added that senior leaders from Jammu and Kashmir would meet the AICC leaders and brief them regarding the prevailing scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.

A meeting of Pradesh Congress Committee govt is also scheduled to be held during their stay, to discuss this political development and roadmap for the party, it said.
