The Border Security Force (BSF) will soon be equipped with anti-drone systems along the international border. Jammu and Kashmir have an international border of 200 km, for which security BSF is working on installing the anti-drone system. BSF officials indicated this after the Pakistani drone infiltrated into the Arnia sector on Sunday. Officials said that soon anti-drone systems will be installed on the IB in Jammu-Samba and Kathua areas so that any kind of nefarious act of Pakistan can be thwarted. After the establishment of this system, the infiltration of Pakistani drones on IB will be completely controlled.

Initially, five to six such systems will be installed in areas under the jurisdiction of BSF Jammu Frontier. The soldiers are also being trained about this system and how it can be operated.

Sources say that BSF wants a ground-based drone system that can be placed on a separate platform. It will run on charged batteries. BSF says that this system will be installed in inaccessible areas, dense forests, deserts, rivers, and other areas. This system can detect suspicious objects flying alone and within 10 seconds from the distance of the UAVs in the group. This system can rotate 360 degrees and kill enemy drones.

The process started after the fall of weapons in Punjab, in October last year, the tender process for the anti-drone system was started by BSF. This process was adopted after several incidents of weapons from UAVs across the border into Pakistan.
