Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the second-generation Evoque for an introductory price of Rs 54.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the transverse architecture, the new Range Rover Evoque gets BS6-compliant Ingenium powertrains and a plethora of new fresh features.

The new Evoque showcases a coupe-like silhouette now. There are Matrix LED headlights with signature DRLs, hi-line tail lights, front and rear fog lights, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, tailgate spoiler, heated door mirrors with approach lights, new flush deployable door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, you will come across features like 10-way electric front seats, 12.3-inch HD MID, 10-inch dual HD touchscreens (Touch Pro Duo), head-up display, two-zone climate control, air quality sensor and cabin air ionisation, among others.

The second-generation Range Rover Evoque comes with driver assistance features like the rear camera, lane keep assist, cruise control, speed limiter, driver condition monitor and the park pack consisting of clear exit monitor, park assist, 360-degree parking aid and rear traffic monitor. Among the safety features of the new Evoque are ABS with EBD, six airbags, pedestrian airbag system, intrusion sensor, hill descent control, dynamic stability control, electronic traction control, roll stability control and electric parking brake.

Powering the 2020 Range Rover Evoque is a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and it makes 250hp and 365Nm of torque. There is also a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel mill that delivers 179hp and 430Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to an automatic transmission.

The new Range Rover Evoque is available in S and R-Dynamic SE variants. The prices (ex-showroom) of the petrol, as well as the diesel variants of the 2020 Evoque, are same.
