The world-renowned car manufacturer MG has launched the BS6 variant of its popular SUV Hector in the Indian market. It is being told that Hector's diesel engine can be launched in BS-6 compliant after some time. Here we are telling you how the MG Hector BS6 SUV is and its features and dimensions etc.
Engine and power
Talking about the engine and power, the MG Hector SUV has a 1.5-liter mild-hybrid turbo BS-6 engine that generates a power of 143 Ps at 5000 Rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 1600-3600 Rpm. On the other hand, the MG Hector engine comes in 6-speed manual and 6-speed DCT gearbox options.
The 6 seater variant of the MG Hector SUV was spotted sometime back during testing. The company can offer this SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. Talking about the price, the starting ex-showroom price of MG Hector SUV is Rs. 12,73,800.
Braking System, Suspension and Dimension
Talking about the braking system, the disc brake has been given in the front of MG Hector SUV and disc brake has been given in the rear. Speaking of suspension, the MG Hector has a McFarshan strut suspension with a stabilizer bar at the front and a semi-independent helical spring Torsion beam suspension at the rear.
Talking about dimensions, MG Hector has a length of 4655 mm, width 1835 mm, height 1760 mm, wheelless 2750 mm and fuel tank of 60 liters. In terms of mileage, according to the ARAI, the Hector Hybrid can give a mileage of 15.81 Km per liter, the Hector can give a mileage of 14.16 Km in the petrol (manual) and 13.96 Km in the Hector (DCT) automatic.
