Kia Motors today launched the Carnival in India at the Auto Expo 2020 for an introductory price of Rs 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Kia Carnival already seems a very popular choice among the car buyers, with over 3,500 bookings received till date. The luxury MPV is the second offering of the South Korean automobile manufacturer in India after Kia Seltos. The new Carnival comes in Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl and Steel Silver colour options.

Powering the new Carnival is a BS6-compliant, 2.2-litre, VGT diesel engine that delivers 200PS and 440Nm of peak torque. The powertrain comes mated to an 8-speed sportsmatic transmission.
Kia Carnival is available in three variants -- Premium, Prestige and Limousine variants. The customers can opt for the Premium trim in 7-seat and 8-seat configurations, the Prestige trim in 7-seat and 9-seat configurations and the Limousine trim in 7-seat configuration. Below are the variant-wise Kia Carnival India prices (ex-showroom).

The new Carnival features the signature Kia 'tiger-nose' grille, which is flanked by wrap-around LED projection headlamps with LED DRLs. The fog lamps are LED units. At the rear, you will come across LED taillights, rear spoiler with LED HMSL and skid plate. The floating roof design of the luxury MPV accentuates its overall look. Other bells and whistles include shark fin antenna, roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels.

We have already told you that the new Kia Carnival will come in 7-seat, 8-seat and 9-seat configurations, depending on the variant you go for. Apart from the rather interesting seating arrangements, the luxury MPV gets a plethora of features like tri-zone automatic AC, auto defog windscreen, smart cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel and auto-dimming rear-view mirror. The Carnival features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the front and two 10.1-inch touchscreen entertainment systems at the rear. Also available are features like multifunction steering wheel, 3.5-inch display panel, wireless smartphone charger, 220V laptop charger, 360-degree camera with blind view monitor and driving rearview monitor. The Carnival boasts of the UVO connectivity technology having 37 features, with a free subscription of three years.

So far as the safety features are concerned, Kia Carnival boasts of ABS (anti-lock brakeforce distribution) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), ESC (electronic stability control), HAC (hill-start assist control), VSM (vehicle stability management), disc brakes on all wheels, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) and front and rear parking sensors.
